Float history

Signal8 records each company's float once a trading day, starting Jul 28, 2026. Earlier dates were not recorded, so a short history is not a sign that the float did not exist. Rows below are the dates the float or share count changed, newest first.

Questions about this data

Why do float figures differ between websites?

Sources define float differently. Some subtract only insider and affiliate holdings; a tradeable float also subtracts restricted blocks that cannot be sold yet. Market-data vendor figures can lag new share issuance, and some report a single share class only. The source of each figure here is named beside it.

What is the difference between float and shares outstanding?

Shares outstanding counts every issued share. Float leaves out shares held by officers, directors, large holders and other affiliates, so it is always the smaller of the two. A float larger than shares outstanding is impossible, and Signal8 withholds such a figure rather than printing it.

What does a change in float mean?

A real change usually follows new share issuance, a buyback, a stock split or insiders buying or selling. A change of source on a date is a re-measurement, not a change in the company’s shares, and is marked as such in the history.
