Nuveen completed the merger of three municipal closed-end funds—NOM, NXJ, and NQP—into the Nuveen Municipal High Income Opportunity Fund (NMZ) prior to the market open on April 27, 2026. The transaction was tax-free and based on closing net asset values as of April 24, with specific exchange ratios established for shareholders of the merging funds. Nuveen currently manages $52 billion in CEF assets and $1.4 trillion in total global assets.
