Oshkosh Corporation Reports 2026 Second Quarter Results
Oshkosh reported Q2 sales of $2.92 billion, up 6.7% year-over-year, but operating margin compression drove a decline in operating income and earnings per share.
Management cut its full-year adjusted EPS guidance to approximately $11.00, down $0.50 from prior estimates, citing slower-than-expected throughput improvements in its fire truck segment and higher manufacturing overhead.
Despite the profit headwinds, the company raised its full-year sales outlook to roughly $11.2 billion and returned capital to shareholders through a $0.57 per share dividend and $91.6 million in share repurchases.

OSK: 10-Q · periodic report
Oshkosh Corporation reported a slight increase in net sales to $2.32 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 0.2% from the same period in 2025. However, the company's operating income decreased significantly to $82 million, or 3.5% of sales, compared to $175 million, or 7.6% of sales, in the first quarter of 2025. This decline was primarily due to unfavorable sales mix, higher manufacturing overhead costs, and lower sales volume.
Earnings per share fell to $0.68 in the first quarter of 2026, down from $1.72 in the first quarter of 2025. The decrease in earnings was largely driven by the lower operating income and higher manufacturing costs.
The company recorded a receivable of $19.7 million for expected recoveries of certain IEEPA tariffs as of March 31, 2026. This receivable includes $13.5 million recognized in operating income in the first quarter of 2026.
Despite the challenging first quarter, the company remains optimistic about the second half of 2026, expecting improved price-cost dynamics in the Access segment, higher fire apparatus and NGDV production, and continued execution on new contracts with better pricing in the Transport segment.
