Chilean Cobalt Corp. Advances NeoRe Exploration, Orders Long-Lead Equipment, and Expands Project Footprint by 30,800 Hectares
Chilean Cobalt completed drilling at the proposed MEP-1 Modular Extraction Plant area at the NeoRe rare earth project in southern Chile, with cumulative drilling reaching roughly 3,000 meters across more than 350 drillholes. The company expanded the NeoRe exploration footprint by about 30,800 hectares to a total of roughly 67,400 hectares and placed purchase orders with initial deposits for the principal long-lead equipment packages for MEP-1. The pilot program has produced 12 batches of mixed rare earth carbonate from about 650 kilograms of ionic clay, with samples sent to prospective U.S. processing and offtake partners. NeoRe still targets first MREC production during early 2027, subject to permitting, financing, construction, and equipment delivery.
