The short version
The screeners hub is a set of market-wide boards, each answering one question across every company Signal8 tracks: which stocks are moving, which are halted, which carry the most potential dilution, which are short of cash, and which have received an exchange deficiency notice. The boards share one layout: a tab strip across the top, preset buttons that filter the board, and a sortable table.
The tabs are Premarket, Movers, Halts, Dilution, Must Raise and Delisting. The Premarket board has its own guide: the premarket scanner. This guide covers the other five.
The boards at a glance
| Board | Question it answers | Refresh | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Movers | What moved most in the regular session? | Every 5 minutes | Open |
| Halts | What is halted right now? | Every 30 seconds | Open |
| Dilution | Which companies carry the most potential new shares? | Every 5 minutes | Pro |
| Must Raise | Which companies are running short of cash? | Every 30 minutes | Free account |
| Delisting | Which companies have exchange deficiency notices? | Every 5 minutes | Free account |
Movers
The Movers board lists the regular session's top gainers, losers and most active names, ranked close-to-close against the previous close. Columns: Ticker, Price, Prev, Chg, Chg %, Vol, Mkt Cap and Company. The presets are Rippers (gainers), Pukers (losers) and Most Active (by volume).
The movers list applies data-quality filters before ranking, such as a minimum previous close and a minimum traded value, so that a thinly traded sub-$1 print does not appear as a giant percentage move.
Halts
The Halts board lists active trading halts on Nasdaq, NYSE and NYSE American, with a count badge on the tab. Columns: Ticker, Market, Code, Halted, Resumes and Reason. The presets are All, News, Volatility and Regulatory.
The Code column is the exchange's halt code. A news-pending halt (code T1) pauses trading while a company releases material news; a volatility pause (LUDP) is triggered automatically by limit up-limit down bands; regulatory halts cover other exchange or SEC actions. Resumes shows the scheduled resumption time when the exchange has published one.
Dilution
The Dilution board lists companies that have a Signal8 dilution snapshot, ranked by overhang. It is part of Signal8 Pro. Columns:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ticker, Company | The issuer |
| Overhang | Shares that could still be issued from instruments already outstanding, as a percentage of the current share count |
| New Shares | The share count behind the Overhang percentage |
| Pending | Shares already committed but not yet issued |
| Shelf $ | Remaining capacity on shelf registrations, limited by the baby shelf rule where it applies |
| ATM $ | Remaining capacity on ATM programs, as of the newest filing read |
| Mkt Cap | Market capitalization |
| Updated | When the snapshot was generated |
Presets: All, Overhang ≥ 20%, Overhang ≥ 100%, Shelf capacity left, ATM capacity left and Under $100M market cap.
Overhang counts warrants, convertibles, convertible preferred, unexercised equity awards and exchangeable shares at their stated terms, whether or not they are in the money, and excludes shelf, ATM and equity-line capacity. A dash in any cell means not measured; a blank Pending does not mean nothing is pending. Only companies with a snapshot appear. A company missing from the board has not been analysed or is outside coverage, which says nothing about whether it issues shares. The Dilution tab guide explains coverage.
Must Raise
The Must Raise board lists companies whose estimated cash runway is under 12 months. Columns: Ticker, Company, Price, Runway, Mkt Cap, Shares O/S and Industry. Presets narrow it to < 3 Months, < 6 Months and < 12 Months.
Runway is cash divided by recent burn. It is an estimate from the last reported financials and does not know about raises or cost cuts that have not been filed yet.
Delisting
The Delisting board lists exchange deficiency notices, the letters an exchange sends when a company falls below a continued-listing standard. Columns: Ticker, Company, Exchange, Notice, Rule cited, Filed, Cure by, Status and Filing. Presets: All, Unresolved, Cured, NASDAQ and NYSE.
Cure by is an estimate, calculated from the filing date: 180 days for a bid price deficiency, 45 days for an equity deficiency plan, 15 days for a hearing request. The notice itself, linked in the Filing column, states the actual deadline and any extension options. A bid price deficiency is often cured through a reverse split.
Boards that are not available
The hub's code also contains Momentum and Squeeze boards. Both are switched off on the public site at the time of writing, so they do not appear in the tab strip. The scanner's Momentum and Squeeze presets, covered in the premarket scanner guide, are separate and available.

FAQ
What does Overhang mean on the Signal8 dilution screener?
Overhang is the shares that could still be issued from a company's outstanding warrants, convertibles, convertible preferred, equity awards and similar instruments, expressed as a percentage of its current shares outstanding. An overhang of 50% means the share count could grow by half if every counted instrument were exercised or converted. The screener lists only companies with a Signal8 dilution snapshot.
How is cash runway calculated on the Must Raise screener?
Runway is the company's reported cash divided by its recent rate of cash burn, giving an estimate in months. It is built from the latest financial statements on file, so it does not reflect raises, asset sales or cost changes the company has not yet reported.
Is the Cure by date on the Delisting screener the official deadline?
No. It is an estimate calculated from the filing date and the type of deficiency. The official deadline, and any additional compliance period the exchange may grant, is stated in the company's filing about the notice, which is linked in the Filing column.
Why are the Momentum and Squeeze screeners missing?
Those two boards exist in the code but are switched off on the public site, so they are hidden from the tab strip. The scanner has its own Momentum and Squeeze presets, which are available and covered in the premarket scanner guide.
Terms in this guide
- Trading halt
- A temporary stop in trading of a security ordered by its listing exchange or the SEC, for example pending material news, to request information, or after a volatility pause.
- Limit Up-Limit Down (LULD)
- The US market-wide rule that keeps individual stocks trading within percentage price bands around a recent average and pauses trading for five minutes if a band is not restored.
- Cash runway
- An estimate of how many months a company's cash could fund its operations at its recent rate of cash burn, before any new financing.
- Deficiency notice
- A letter from a stock exchange telling a listed company it no longer meets a continued listing requirement, such as the $1.00 minimum bid price, and starting a compliance period.
- Shelf registration
- A registration statement, usually on Form S-3, that registers securities now so the company can sell them later in one or more offerings without filing a new registration each time.
- At-the-market (ATM) offering
- A program that lets a company sell newly issued shares directly into the open market at prevailing prices, a little at a time, through a sales agent.
- Reverse stock split
- A corporate action that combines a set number of existing shares into one share, cutting the share count and raising the per-share price by the same ratio. Ownership percentages do not change.
